17.11.2019 Der am 30. Juli 1938 in London geborene vielfach ausgezeichnete britische Fotograf Terry O'Neill ist am 17. November 2019 gestorben. Berühmt wurde er durch seine Fotos unzähliger Berühmtheiten, - von den Beatles und Rolling Stones über Frank Sinatra bis zu Faye Dunaway, Audrey Hepburn und Brigitte Bardot.

O'Neill remembered "I started at the top and never looked back." Following his work with The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, more stars started to align, and O'Neill began to visually define the 1960s by working with a who's who in music, film, and celebrity; Michael Caine, Sean Connery, Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, Terence Stamp, Jean Shrimpton, Tom Jones, and ending the decade with Frank Sinatra.

Terry O'Neill, the photographer who chronicled London's 1960s culture by capturing the celebrities and public figures who defined the era, has died aged 81.

O'Neill photographed some of the world's most legendary stars and public figures, from Audrey Hepburn to David Bowie, Elton John, Winston Churchill and Frank Sinatra.

He also shot members of the Royal Family, including the Queen. Among his most recent works was an image of Amy Winehouse at the height of her fame in 2008.
