El dibujante de cómics, guionista, realizador de cine de animación, pintor, escultor y escritor, Carlos Nine, falleció este sábado. Tenía 72 años.
Nine fue una de las de las grandes plumas que dibujaron la historia argentina.

El primer libro que publiqué alguna vez tenía dibujos de Carlos Nine. Han pasado más de 40 años, y el único motivo que hoy tendría para recordar aquellas páginas prescindibles, es el de rescatar el aroma perdido de aquellas formas plásticas dibujadas por Carlos. Demuestran que ciertas cuartillas dadas a la imprenta solo pueden perdurar no por sus párrafos y sentencias sino por sus ilustraciones. Este es el caso; yo había escrito un libro y de él solo sobreviven, en mí, las imágenes creadas por Nine.

l'Argentin Carlos Nine fut l'inventeur de Saubon, canard marxiste obscène et
victime «d'une ère post-industrielle en pleine décadence».
Le personnage et le livre (Le Canard qui aimait les poules, Albin
Michel) lui valurent le prix du meilleur album étranger au Festival d'Angoulême
en 2001.

Nato a Haedo, Buenos Aires, il 21 Febbraio 1944, Nine è stato artista completo: illustratore, pubblicitario, scultore e animatore, con il suo segno grottesco eppure caldo si è saputo prestare a fiabe per bambini e fumetti satirici, collaborando alle riviste di Andrés Cascioli Humor (dal 1983 al 1990) e Fierro, ma anche L'Écho des savanes, Le Monde, Clarín e il New Yorker.
