09.02.2021 Die am 6. März 1944 in Greenville (Mississippi) geborene US-amerikanische Soul-Sängerin Mary Wilson (Bild) ist am 8. Februar 2021 in Henderson (Nevada) gestorben. Sie war vor allem als Gründungsmitglied der Gruppe The Supremes berühmt. Mary Wilson war das einzige Mitglied, das von der Gründung 1959 bis zur offiziellen Auflösung 1977 Teil der Gruppe war.*

Vocalist Mary Wilson, who co-founded the Supremes as a 15-year-old in a Detroit housing project and stayed with the fabled, hitmaking Motown Records trio until its dissolution in 1977, died on Monday night at her home in Las Vegas.
